What is included in a hair transplant package depends entirely on the clinic. "All-inclusive" can mean anything from the operation plus a car from the airport to a complete plan with tests, hotel, follow-up and aftercare products. This guide explains the medical and travel parts of a typical package, what is usually left out, and how to compare two offers line by line.

The medical part of a package
This is the part that decides your result, so read it first.
- Consultation and assessment. A doctor examines your donor area, your pattern of hair loss and your medical history before confirming a plan. A package that fixes the plan before anyone has looked at your scalp is selling a product, not planning a procedure.
- Pre-operative blood tests. Routine tests check that surgery is safe for you on the day.
- Anaesthesia. The scalp is numbed with local anaesthesia. Ask which method is used and how discomfort is managed during long sessions.
- The procedure and the technique. The package should name the technique, for example Sapphire FUE or DHI, and who designs the hairline.
- Medicines and an aftercare kit. Usually painkillers, other medicines prescribed by the doctor, and special shampoo or lotion for the first weeks.
- The first wash. Many clinics do the first wash themselves and show you how to continue at home.
- PRP sessions. Platelet-rich plasma is offered by many clinics as a supporting treatment. Evidence on how much it adds is still mixed, so ask what it is meant to achieve in your case rather than treating it as essential.
The travel part of a package
- Accommodation. Check the hotel's name, the number of nights, whether breakfast is included and whether a companion can stay in the same room.
- Transfers. Airport to hotel, hotel to clinic and back. Ask whether transfers on the day of your check-up are included too.
- A coordinator or interpreter. Someone who speaks your language and stays reachable during your stay.
Flights, most meals, sightseeing, travel insurance and visa costs are usually not included. The CDC's guidance on medical tourism advises travellers to understand which services are included in the cost before they go.
Follow-up after you fly home
Recovery continues for months after the trip, so the follow-up part of a package deserves as much attention as the hotel. Ask:
- Who you contact if you have a question in the first two weeks.
- Whether follow-up is online, by photos, or with a doctor near you.
- How long follow-up lasts, and whether a review at around twelve months is part of it.
Not every package includes the same things
Even within one clinic, packages differ. Estemoon publishes three hair transplant packages with different contents:
| Package | What the published package lists |
|---|---|
| Sapphire FUE Essential | Pain-controlled local anaesthesia, one PRP hair regeneration treatment, online follow-up and recovery support, pre-operative blood tests, first hair wash at the clinic |
| DHI Precision | Pain-controlled anaesthesia, hairline planning with the specialist team, PRP hair strengthening therapy, pre-operative blood tests and medical evaluation, 12-month post-procedure follow-up, first hair wash and recovery guidance |
| DHI Premium Regeneration | Pain-controlled anaesthesia, PRP plus advanced hair regeneration therapy, personalised hairline design, two nights at a five-star hotel, private VIP transfers, pre-operative blood tests and full consultation, premium aftercare kit |
Hotel nights and private transfers appear in the Premium Regeneration package. If another package suits your case better, ask us how accommodation and transfers are arranged for your dates. Current details for each package are on our hair transplant cost page.
A checklist to send to any clinic
Copy these questions into an email and send them to every clinic on your shortlist. Comparing the answers side by side is the quickest way to see what is included in a hair transplant package and what is not.
- Which technique is included, and who designs the hairline?
- Which tests are included before the operation?
- Which medicines and aftercare products do I take home?
- Is PRP included, and what is it meant to do in my case?
- How many hotel nights are included, and which hotel?
- Which transfers are included?
- Is an interpreter or coordinator available during my stay?
- How long does follow-up last after I go home, and how does it work?
- What is not included, and what could be added on arrival?
- What is the total price in writing?
Red flags in package offers
- A package that names no technique and no doctor.
- "Unlimited grafts". Donor hair is finite, so the phrase has no clinical meaning.
- Extra treatments that are only mentioned once you arrive.
- A price that changes when you hesitate.
- No written list of what is included.
Frequently asked questions
Does a hair transplant package include flights?
Usually not. Most packages start when you land: transfers, accommodation where listed, the procedure and aftercare. Book flights only after your dates and plan are confirmed.
Is PRP necessary after a hair transplant?
No. PRP is an optional supporting treatment. Some clinics include a session in the package; ask what it is expected to add in your case.
How many nights should I plan for?
Many patients plan for two to three nights: assessment and tests, the operation, and a check-up with the first wash. Your clinic will confirm the schedule.
Can I compare packages from different clinics fairly?
Yes, if you compare line by line. Send the same checklist to each clinic and compare the written answers, not the headline price. You can also read why people choose Turkey for a hair transplant, and when you are ready, contact our team for a consultation.
